DUTIES INCLUDE – BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Deposits
  • General Ledger Data Entry
  • Payroll Processing
  • Payroll Tax Deposits
  • Quarterly Filing

BASIC REQUIREMENTS/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in general accounting and office duties.
  • QuickBooks experience a must.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) experience and working knowledge a must.
  • Detail-oriented individual who can work at a fast pace and complete assignments by deadline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality.
  • General computer knowledge.

DUTIES INCLUDE – BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Prepares and reviews tax returns - 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, 1041, 990,706, State, gift, payroll, and sales tax returns.
  • Manages projects of one or more client assignments simultaneously, ensuring overall success of each project.
  • Identifies client’s needs/opportunities in order to sell/cross-sell products or services.
  • Shares and transfers knowledge within the team.
  • Develops deeper knowledge and skills in technical field.
  • Actively pursues self-development opportunities in line with the competency model.
  • Manages the implementation of solutions for clients.
  • Advises and coaches team members, provides consistent recognition and encouragement to team members, and sets an example by demonstrating high energy levels and enthusiasm.
  • Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
  • Successfully directs and maintains a motivated and empowered work team.
  • Performs a detailed review of the work to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignment tasks within agreed time frames.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve assignment profitability and identifies any risk management issues.
  • Participation in recruitment, business planning, business development, and retention initiatives.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • CPA, CPA candidate or EA
  • 1 - 3 years public accounting experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Creative problem solving ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A working knowledge of public accounting firm products and services in the practice area, and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas.

DUTIES INCLUDE – BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Perform a variety of administrative duties such as answering, screening and forwarding incoming telephone calls
  • greeting customers professionally and determining the nature and purpose of their visit
  • collecting, sorting, distributing and preparing correspondences, mail, messages and entering data
  • maintaining and updating calendars
  • receiving payments and recording receipts.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Self-directed and able to work independently
  • Friendly and courteous at all times
  • Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills are essential
  • Must be able to work well with staff and management
  • Use consistent good judgment
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction
